Installation Instruction:
The expander firmware can be flashed using maxView Storage Manager or ARCCONF command line utility (once installed on an existing system or via the bootUSB utility prior to operating system installation). In either utility, please follow the process for upgrading enclosure firmware, not controller firmware, when performing a firmware update on the Microsemi Adaptec SAS expander. Additionally, within maxView select ""Microcode with Offsets, Save and Activate"" mode option during the enclosure firmware update wizard. Once the SAS expander firmware has been updated, a complete system power off/on cycle must be completed to activate the new firmware.
