Using standard system administrator command line entries, the user can pause all activity on a specific Adaptec Host adapter by typing in the command:
unload instance netware_slot_number
This permits the user to perform a hot replace of the host adapter. Once the host adapter is reinserted into the same PCI slot, the user types in the command:
load instance netware_slot_number
This will resume activity on that slot. This capability is available on all Novell NetWare Hot Plug PCI servers. This capability is only available currently in the AIC78U2.HAM driver.
