PowerDomain 2930U Compatibility

Important notice for customers using one of the new open firmware (blue and white) G3 Macintosh systems:
The PowerDomain 2930U contains a jumper (J4) that needs to be set to the "OPEN" or "OFF" position in order to support booting on the new blue and white Macintosh systems. The jumper may have already been preset to the open position at the factory. If not, the jumper should be "parked" on a single pin, as shown in the diagram below, or removed altogether. (Note: Parking the jumper on one pin opens the circuit and accomplishes the same function as removing it).

Customers using previous (beige box) G3_s and older Power Macintosh systems should position the jumper in the "ON" or "CLOSED" position _ so the jumper closes the circuit made by the two pins.

Correct Jumper position When used in the new "Blue White" G3 Macintosh systems, the jumper should be parked in the "OPEN" or OFF" position, as shown in the diagram above
Correct jumper position When used with previous (beige) G3_s and older Power Macintosh systems, the jumper should be set to the "ON" or "CLOSED" position (so the jumper covers both pins).
